Secret Tips For Using This App Informed Delivery® Mobile

The Informed Delivery® Mobile application allows you to start your mornings with a preview of your day’s USPS mail and packages. This free app lets you see photos of your mail before it arrives and receive USPS tracking updates.

You can use the app to:

• Create your account or sign-in with an existing account.
• Get daily digest notifications to preview your mail and packages scheduled to arrive soon.
• See grayscale images of your mail before it arrives*. Images are of the exterior, address side only of letter sized mail.
• Interact with mailer-provided digital content associated with your mail (e.g. - special offers, related links).
• Scan eligible tracking numbers or label barcodes to track the status of your inbound or outbound USPS packages.
• Get delivery status updates directly to your smartphone.

*Images are only provided for letter-sized mailpieces that are processed through USPS’s automated equipment. Mail and packages may not arrive the same day you get a notification – please allow several days for delivery.

Requiring a full 2FA login each time I open the app seems onerous and unnecessary. Perhaps you could protect the more sensitive features of the application behind that level of security but still allow read-only access to incoming mail notifications, which is the primary purpose of the app. I set up informed delivery for my elderly parents so they could avoid unnecessary trips to the mailbox, but if they have to log in each time, they won't use it.

pretty silly that I can't stay signed in. otherwise, it do what do. eta: I reached out as requested. It was recommended that I uninstall and reinstall the app. Did that. No change. Still need to login every time I open the app. Now it's pushing to turn on notifications first when I open the app and then again after logging in. No. Give it a rest.

I love the USPS app. Sometimes, my mail gets left at the wrong address, but the app sends me daily notifications about the mail or packages I’m expecting, complete with photos of the envelopes. If it doesn't arrive in my mailbox, it’s almost certainly at one of my neighbors' mailboxes. Thank you, USPS, for this app.
